The Meihuashan South China Tiger Breeding Institute has made great strides in artificial breeding and training of South China tigers.

The subspecies unique to China is among the top 10 endangered animals in the world, with only about 250 remaining.

To raise their reproduction and survival rate, the institute cooperates with other breeding centers and universities. The institute also helps the tigers develop crucial wilderness survival skills.
