Meta Platforms announced the launch of a new feature called AI Studio on Monday, which will enable users to create and share personalized AI chatbots.
This tool allows for the customization of AI characters, which can be used by Instagram creators to manage direct message queries and story responses, acting as "an extension of themselves." These AI characters can be shared across Meta's various social media platforms.
AI Studio is powered by Meta's latest AI model, Llama 3.1. This model, which was released last week, offers competitive performance compared to other paid models, like those from OpenAI, and is available in multiple languages.
Meanwhile, OpenAI is reportedly working on a secretive project called "Strawberry," as the company aims to demonstrate the advanced reasoning capabilities of its AI models.
