Russia said on Monday it had summoned the Charge d'Affaires of the Czech Republic in Moscow to lodge a protest over an illegal attempt by one of the embassy's employees to smuggle powerful medical or recreational substances.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement the employee should be stripped of their diplomatic immunity so they can face criminal charges in Russia or return to the Czech Republic.
