The Torch Festival, celebrated by the Yi ethnic group, attracted around 100,000 visitors to Xichang City in southwest China's Sichuan Province. A total of 91 bonfires were lit across a four-kilometer stretch, including three huge ones at a square whose flames rose to around eight meters. There were many folk performances alongside the bonfires, and the spectacle drew in large numbers of tourists who danced together with the local Yi people.
