Heavy rainfall brought by residual winds from Typhoon Gaemi has affected about 1.15 million people in Hunan Province since July 26. In Zixing City, heavy rainstorms toppled or damaged 867 homes and caused 1,345 cave-ins. Power outages occurred in many villages. The city has dispatched four helicopters and more than 5,400 rescuers to carry out relief work since July 29.
