The Luoyang Water Banquet is a gastronomic emblem of this ancient city. Each dish is infused with the wisdom and ingenuity of the Luoyang people, and each dish of soup preserves the original flavor of the ingredients. The seamless presentation of dishes, reminiscent of flowing water, highlights the finesse and elegance of the Water Banquet, while the water-based cooking method shows the utmost respect for the ingredients. From the imperial court of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) to the family tables of today, the Water Banquet has become a feature of every celebration in Luoyang. As for chef Li Yubin, he has made it his personal mission to ensure that this ancient culinary tradition continues long into the future.
