Hamas has frozen negotiations for a ceasefire and hostage release deal indefinitely following the death of its political leader, Ismail Haniyeh, the Israel Defense Forces' GLZ Radio reported Thursday, citing sources.
There was no immediate comment from Hamas yet on the negotiation prospect, but the group has accused Israel of being behind the assassination, an accusation Israel has neither denied nor confirmed yet.
Haniyeh and his bodyguard were killed early on Wednesday when their accommodation was hit in Tehran. Haniyeh was in Tehran to attend the inauguration of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
