Tang San Cai, the pinnacle of Tang Dynasty (618-907) colored glaze pottery, occupies a special chapter in the history of Chinese ceramics. With its rich palette and unique craftsmanship, it has become a symbol of an artistic golden age. In the micro-documentary "A Millennium in Color: A New Chapter for Tang San Cai," we discover how this ancient craft is being rejuvenated in the hands of its inheritor, Zhang Yipeng. As the custodian of the Zhang family kiln, he has honed his craft over two decades. His works not only pay homage to the prosperity of the Tang era, but also manifest the innovative spirit that reflects the mission assumed by a young contemporary artisan.
