China on August 1 donated $3 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) for humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip. Zeng Jixin, head of the Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine, signed the donation agreement with Antonia De Meo, deputy commissioner-general for operational support at UNRWA.
