Officials from China's National Development and Reform Commission, along with five other ministries, have introduced their plans and key goals to implement the country's new five-year action plan and deepen a people-centered urbanization strategy.
Authorities say they hope to further open up the channels for more of the rural population to settle in cities and improve the basic system for public services. Restrictions on household registration will be gradually relaxed in line with the reforms.
