World's most mysterious bird, white-eared night heron, spotted in south China's Guangxi

00:55

Four critically endangered white-eared night herons have been spotted in Tian'e County, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. They are a family of two adults and two chicks. Only around 1,000 such birds remain worldwide. Known as the "world's most mysterious bird," white-eared night herons are elusive and prefer dense forests. Improved local ecology is attracting more rare wildlife.
