East Africa encompasses several countries, including Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and the Seychelles in the western Indian Ocean. It covers a total area of 3.7 million square kilometers, accounting for 12 percent of the total area of Africa.

In terms of climate, East Africa is primarily characterized by a tropical savanna climate. The highland areas are cool and moist, while the southern coastal lowlands are hot and humid, and the northern areas are hot and dry. These climatic conditions provide a suitable habitat for diverse flora and fauna.

East Africa is renowned for its rich wildlife resources and is one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth. From July to October each year, East Africa witnesses the spectacular migration of millions of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and other animals as they trek from Tanzania's Serengeti National Park to Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve in search of abundant water and food. This magnificent natural phenomenon not only showcases the survival instincts of these animals but also reflects the complexity and diversity of the East African ecosystem.
