How does an ancient town regain its charm? Ciqikou ancient town, with a history of more than 1,000 years, is one of the best places to explore the hustle and bustle of daily life in southwest China's Chongqing.
Located by the Jialing River, Ciqikou ancient town was first built in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) and gained prominence during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) as a commercial port and market town, shipping goods both by land and water.
