Hongcun is an ancient village nestling in east China’s Anhui Province. It was cited as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000 along with nearby Xidi Village. Hongcun is home to 150 traditional houses that date back almost 1,000 years. Here in this village, the sound of running water is never absent. Featuring grey-tiled and white-washed Hui-style architecture, the traditional Chinese village and its lush, green foliage are perfectly reflected in the surrounding clear waters.
