A bridge connecting two tunnels on an expressway in southwest China's Sichuan Province collapsed after a sudden mudslide Saturday, local authorities said.
Three vehicles fell off the bridge after it collapsed at around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday at the section between Kangding City and Luding County of the Ya'an-Kangding expressway, according to the Ganzi Zang Autonomous Prefecture's publicity department.

As of 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, emergency workers had rescued one person and were searching for another five people.
