Stretching along the slopes of the Ailao Mountains to the banks of the Honghe River, the Honghe Hani Rice Terraces in southwest China's Yunnan Province have attracted countless professional and amateur photographers to capture their magnificent views.

The terraces display different colors due to varying weather conditions and aquatic plants. Reflecting the color of the sky, the terraces appear blue on sunny days and take on a gray hue when it is cloudy. During sunrise and sunset, they glow golden. The terraces also change color to green, red, yellow, and more, depending on the species and stage of growth of the plants.

The Honghe Hani Rice Terraces date back 1,300 years. In 2013, a total of 16,603 hectares of the Honghe Hani Rice Terraces were listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
