The Cross-Straits Youth Baseball Invitational Tournament kicked off in Liancheng County, east China's Fujian Province, on August 6, with 134 players from eight baseball teams from both sides of the Taiwan Straits participating. Being held over the course of eight days, the event sees four teams from Taiwan and four from Fujian participating.
