Yixing, a county-level city in Wuxi, east China's Jiangsu Province, is famous for its Zisha tea ware, or purple clay pottery. The ceramic art is well preserved in Gunan Street, a historic thoroughfare with many ancestral homes of purple clay artisans. Take a walk here and you'll feel the rich cultural atmosphere, and the exquisite tea ware shops may even tempt you to go on a shopping spree.
