China launched a Long March-6A carrier rocket at 2:42 p.m. Beijing Time from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in the northern province of Shanxi on Tuesday, deploying 18 satellites of "Thousand Sails Constellation" into their preset orbit successfully. The "Thousand Sails Constellation" plan is also referred to as the "G60 Satellite Link" plan, which began last year and aims to deploy more than 15,000 low Earth orbit satellites.
