Located in Yongshun County, Hunan Province, Furong Ancient Town, also known as the "Town Hanging on the Waterfall,” features fairy-tale scenes of dwellings built into the cliffs surrounding a series of dazzling waterfalls. The buildings perched on the cliffs are called diaojiaolou, typical residential houses built by the Tujia ethnic group. Nestled in a rural area, the ancient town has a history of over 2,000 years. The classic Chinese movie "Hibiscus Town" was filmed there in 1986, starring renowned actor Jiang Wen and actress Liu Xiaoqing.
