On the roofs of the traditional architecture of Quanzhou, porcelain sculptures bloom in vibrant hues of red, yellow, green and white. Ceramic mosaics, a unique form of decorative architecture popular in southern Fujian, bring these rooftops to life. Artisans meticulously cut fragments of ceramics into various forms, including flowers, birds, fish, insects, and historical figures. These colorful ceramic pieces adorn the rooftops, creating a spectacle reminiscent of a drama staged in the sky.
