The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Thursday that it has eliminated senior Hamas official Nael Sakhl in the Gaza Strip who was involved in "directing terror attacks" in the West Bank.

The IDF said a location in which Nael Sakh operated was struck on July 24 in a joint operation with Shin Bet internal security agency. "Several days following the strike, intelligence was received, indicating that he was eliminated," the IDF said in a statement on Thursday.

There was no immediate comment from Hamas yet.
