It's now convenient for international visitors to China to swap foreign currency for renminbi (RMB). Major international airports, four-star and above hotels, tourist attractions, resorts and shopping areas across the country now have foreign currency exchange services. More than 67,000 bank branches, 4,200 foreign exchange facilities and 320,000 ATMs now offer this service, according to the People's Bank of China, the central bank. Visitors only need to scan their passports and insert foreign currency notes to get RMB according to the exchange rate of the day.
