Chinese swimmers claimed two gold, three silver, and seven bronze medals at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. The team's total of 12 medals established a new record for China in the sport at the Games.

Pan Zhanle won the men's 100-meter freestyle title by setting a new world record of 46.4 seconds. He also teamed up with Xu Jiayu, Qin Haiyang and Sun Jiajun to dominate the men's 4×100-meter medley relay final in 3:27.76, adding a second gold for the delegation.

Tang Qianting and Xu earned silver medals in the women's 100-meter breaststroke and men's 100-meter backstroke, respectively. Xu, Qin, Zhang Yufei and Yang Junxuan also finished the mixed 4×100-meter medley relay final in 3:37.55, breaking the Asian record and securing silver.

Zhang also contributed to five of China's seven bronze medals in the pool. She earned three by herself in the women's 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter butterfly and 200-meter butterfly events.

Zhang also joined Yang, Cheng Yujie and Wu Qingfeng to capture bronze in the women's 4×100-meter freestyle relay final after breaking the Asian record in 3:30.3, and added another bronze in the women's 4×100-meter medley relay alongside Wan Letian, Tang and Yang.

Wang Shun claimed bronze in the men's 200-meter individual medley after touching the wall in 1:56.

Chinese swimmers achieved those accomplishments while overcoming the major challenge of being the most tested team for anti-doping control at Paris 2024.

World Aquatics added that it had tested all Chinese swimmers out-of-competition since January at least 21 times on average, while Australian swimmers were tested an average of four times in the same period, and American swimmers an average of six times.
