Featuring distinctive horse-head walls rising in steps above the roofline, these Huizhou-style buildings – a traditional Chinese architectural style that originated in Huizhou, Anhui Province – evoke the feeling of being in China. However, this complex is actually located in Africa! Situated in Lusaka, Zambia, the Golden Peacock Hotel is a five-star establishment set up by a Chinese company from Anhui. Since its opening in 2012, this prestigious hotel has become a symbol of China-Africa friendship.
