Li Fabin and Ou Zixia have been chosen as China's co-flagbearers for the Closing Ceremony of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics on Sunday, the Chinese Olympic Committee announced.

Li, 31, won the men's 61-kilogram weightlifting gold medal on Wednesday to claim his second straight title, after previously topping the podium in the same division at the pandemic-delayed Tokyo Games in 2021.

Ou is a member of the Chinese women's field hockey team that earned silver in Paris after facing the Netherlands in the final on Friday. The second-place showing matched China's best finish in the sport, after the team previously bowed out as runners up at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.
