The Debao pony from south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is one of the shortest horse breeds in the world, with adults reaching a height of just 76-106 centimeters.
As one of the two major lineages of miniature horses globally, it is a descendant of the Guoxia pony from the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - 9 AD).
Known for its gentle, intelligent and resilient nature, the Debao pony is often called the "panda of horses."
