Greece has ordered the evacuation of thousands as firefighters combat a surge of wildfires. On Sunday night, firefighters faced a dangerous blaze near Athens, with smoke blanketing parts of the capital in a dark haze. Officials warned that half the country is at high risk for fires due to soaring temperatures, strong winds and drought conditions.
