British police said they arrested a man after an 11-year-old girl and a 34-year-old woman were stabbed in Leicester Square in central London on Monday.
The girl will require hospital treatment, but her injuries are not life threatening, and the second victim suffered more minor injuries, the Westminster Police said in a statement.
"At this stage, there is no suggestion that the incident is terror-related," said the police.
