China's sales of new-energy passenger vehicles (NEVs) surpassed those of gasoline-powered cars in July. Data from the industry association shows retail sales of NEVs rose by 37 percent year on year to over 870,000 units. Yang Hangjun, Associate Dean of the University of International Business and Economics, says sales of NEVs will continue to grow as China becomes the world's leading manufacturer.
