The county of Pingshun in north China's Shanxi Province has experienced a bumper harvest of weeping forsythia, a key herb in traditional Chinese medicine. Farmers are busy reaping the rewards, with the crops covering an area of more than 33,000 hectares. The head of the planting base says now is the best time to harvest the herb, as its medicinal qualities have reached the required level.
