Doctors in India are striking in protest over the alleged rape and murder of a trainee medic. Thousands of medics are demanding better protection for health workers following the alleged rape and murder of a 31-year-old resident doctor in Kolkata, West Bengal. The victim's body was found on August 9 with multiple injuries and signs of sexual assault in a seminar hall at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, local police said. One suspect has been arrested.
