The Forum on China and Africa Cooperation is scheduled to be held in Beijing from September 4 to 6. This is another gathering after the one in Beijing in 2018. This year's forum is themed "Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future." A series of activities including the opening ceremony, a welcoming banquet and gala performance, high-level meetings, and the Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs will take place. Bilateral meetings will be held on the sidelines as well.

Ahead of the event, CGTN is holding a series of roundtable discussions with officials from Africa and business leaders who have witnessed the development of friendship between China and Africa. The first episode will focus on Namibia. Joining us at the roundtable is Namibian Ambassador to China Elia George Kaiyamo, Board Chairman of China Henan International Cooperation Group Company Cheng Jian, and Manager of Technology and Digitalization Department at the CGNPC Uranium Resources Co., Ltd. Jiang Feng. The discussion will be on business cooperation in mining, China and Africa friendship and opportunities ahead.
