Vegetable-producing regions and distribution centers across China are working to ensure an adequate supply of fresh vegetables, as farm produce prices have increased due to heat waves and rain.

According to statistics released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, about seven million hectares of land are under vegetable cultivation nationwide, 60,000 hectares more than last year, laying a solid foundation for sufficient supply.
