Vietnamese President To Lam is paying a state visit to China from August 18 to 20.
CGTN Stringer interviewed locals in Hanoi, Vietnam to get their take on China-Vietnam relations and cooperation between the two countries. Some people said they are looking forward to visiting China one day and hope the two countries can develop cooperation in economy, trade, culture and other fields. "I hope China and Vietnam can carry out all-round cooperation because we are neighbors connected by mountains and rivers," one interviewee said. Others said they expect China and Vietnam to deepen cooperation in the fields of industry and science and technology. If the two countries can deepen cooperation in the field of computer programming, it is undoubtedly good news for the two peoples, they said.
