The Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) and the Donghai Rescue Bureau in Southeast China's Fujian Province jointly patrolled the Taiwan Straits, as part of a maritime law enforcement operation over the weekend. Three vessels took part in the operation organized under the Chinese mainland's Ministry of Transport on Saturday and Sunday.
It lasted more than 30 hours, covering a total range of 413 nautical miles. The main tasks included patrolling the waters of the Taiwan Straits, inspecting Fujian's coastal sea routes, investigating and punishing maritime traffic violations, and maintaining navigation order. The operation aims to strengthen maritime traffic control and emergency rescue capabilities and effectively ensure the safety of ships, facilities and personnel sailing and operating in the Taiwan Straits.
