Editor's Note: With tourism accounting for more than 70% of its GDP, this idyllic archipelago in the Indian Ocean provides the perfect blend of secluded, pristine beaches and vibrant, welcoming multiculturalism. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations with China on June 30, 1976, cooperation has been on the rise to diversify the economy and build crucial infrastructure. In this edition of Leaders Talk, CMG's Zou Yun sat down with President of Seychelles Wavel Ramkalawan to take stock of the China-Seychelles ties ahead of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum to be held later this year in Beijing. Ramkalawan praises China's no-strings-attached assistance based on friendship and notes that China's Belt and Road Initiative has greatly benefited people's livelihood. He also commends Chinese President Xi Jinping's global initiatives, saying they "meet the world's demands."
