A group of outdoor sports enthusiasts, tour guides and bloggers took part in an outdoor adventure guide training camp organized by the China Adventure Association in the mountains of Beijing's Huairou District earlier this month. The training consisted of map reading, knotting skills, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) practice, search and rescue teams (SRT) practice, team leading and other necessary skills. Throughout the three days of camp, trainers shared the knowledge needed to be an adventure guide.
"As the number of people participating in outdoor sports including hiking, camping and adventure sports has been growing fast, professional skills to ensure safety for participants and guides becomes a must," Han Bo, chairman of the China Adventure Association, said.
