This summer, the exhibition "On Top of the Pyramid: The Civilization of Ancient Egypt" opens at the Shanghai Museum in East China. As the largest of its kind held outside Egypt in the past 20 years, the exhibition brings together 492 sets of selected artifacts from different periods of ancient Egyptian civilization, sourced from seven renowned Egyptian museums, and includes the latest archaeological discoveries. Remarkably, over 95 percent of these artifacts will be making their debut in Asia. Meanwhile, this showcase is the first exhibition of ancient Egyptian art curated by Chinese scholars and researchers.
