The 6th Forum on China-Africa Media Cooperation and the China-Africa Think Tank High-Level Dialogue was held in Beijing on Wednesday.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Li Shulei, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, said China-Africa relations have entered a new stage of jointly building a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.
Li called on the media and think tanks to tell the story of China-Africa cooperation and development well and contribute to the modernization of China and Africa.
The participating guests said it is imperative to explore a high-quality path to development and prosperity that is more resilient, inclusive and beneficial to all in order to help countries in the Global South solve development problems.
During the forum, relevant departments of China and African countries signed six radio and television agreements and launched 20 cooperation projects.
More than 500 representatives from government departments, media, think tanks and international organizations from China and more than 40 African countries attended the forum.
