7 killed after blast at Indian pharmaceutical plant

At least seven people were killed in an explosion on Wednesday at a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant owned by private company Escientia in southern India's Andhra Pradesh state, The Indian Express reported.

Several people with serious burn injuries were admitted to hospitals, the report said, adding that the blast happened during lunchtime. 

A Reuters report has put the number of injured at more than 30, citing a district government official.
