In his final days, former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson sent an emotional message to the world on Prime Video on Wednesday.

Eriksson, 76, has been battling terminal pancreatic cancer. When he announced the news in January, he said he had "at best a year to live."

"Life is also about death; you have to learn to accept it. Hopefully, in the end, people will say, 'Yes, he was a good man,' but not everyone will say that. I had a good life," the Swedish football coach said. "Don't have regrets. Smile. Thank you to all the coaches, players, and fans. It's been fantastic. Take care of yourselves and your lives. And live it! Goodbye."

Since going into coaching in 1977, Eriksson has worked with many clubs and national teams, including powerhouses like Lazio between 1997 and 2001 in the Italian Serie A, and England from 2001 to 2006. He helped Lazio win the Serie A title in the 1998-99 season and was named Serie A Coach of the Year following the 1999-2000 campaign.

Eriksson managed England at two FIFA World Cups in 2002 and 2006 and at Euro 2004. The Three Lions reached the quarterfinals at all three events.

The Swedish legend has also coached in the Chinese Super League (CSL) with Guangzhou City (then known as Guangzhou R&F), Shanghai Port (then known as Shanghai SIPG) and Shenzhen between 2013 and 2017.
