Vessels of the 46th Chinese naval escort taskforce trained with the Egyptian navy on Monday in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea north of Alexandria Port. PLA naval vessels, the guided-missile destroyer Jiaozuo and the comprehensive supply ship Honghu, met up with the Egyptian navy frigate "Galala." They conducted exercises in coordinated communication, vessel formation, and underway replenishment. The Chinese naval escort taskforce made an official visit to Alexandria, Egypt, from August 15 to 19. Officers and sailors of the two navies met, exchanged and participated in sporting activities.
