Shenzhen has been a pioneer in the development of the low-altitude economy, with last year's annual output reaching about $12.6 billion. The low-altitude economy is centered around manned and unmanned aerial vehicles in sectors such as passenger transport and cargo delivery. According to authorities, the city plans to authorize 75 percent of its airspace below 120 meters for use by low-altitude flights. More than 1,000 such routes are expected to open by the end of 2025.
