Chinese Premier Li Qiang said on Thursday that China stands ready to work with the Belarusian side to push for the high-level development of their all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership.

Li made the remarks while meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at the Palace of Independence in Minsk.

Over the past 32 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China and Belarus have maintained a relationship of vigor and vitality despite changes in the international landscape, he said.

The two sides have adhered to mutual benefit, win-win outcomes, and common development and seen fruitful cooperation, which has brought tangible benefits to the two peoples, Li said.

China is willing to further strengthen multilateral cooperation with Belarus, promote the development of the global governance system in a more just and reasonable direction, and safeguard the common interests of developing countries, he added.

Lukashenko hailed the robust momentum of growth in the Belarus-China relationship, which stands at the highest level in history.

The two countries have always firmly supported each other on major issues related to each other's core interests, he said.

Belarus is ready to work with China to promote closer high-level exchanges, deepen practical cooperation in economy, trade, agriculture, science and technology, and other areas, and participate in the global initiatives proposed by China to promote a greater development of the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, added Lukashenko.
