Showcase of Chinese TV programming kicks off in Cairo, Egypt

The fifth season of the Sino-Africa TV Programming Exhibition got underway on Tuesday in Cairo, Egypt. The event is seeing over 20 outstanding Chinese TV shows being offered in seven languages to viewership in 15 African countries. The event was co-organized by China Media Group (CMG), and media partners from African countries including Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Burundi. More than 20 local mainstream media outlets are taking part. The showcase marks the first time Chinese productions dubbed in the Fulani and Amharic languages hitting the African small screen. In its first four seasons since 2021, the exhibition has reached an African audience totaling over 500 million.
