Over the past year, frequent accidents by the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) have raised concerns, especially among fishermen. Last year, a plaintiff group of over 300 Japanese people filed a lawsuit. They're demanding the government cancel the discharge permit and TEPCO stop discharging the contaminated water. One year on, they are still waiting for a response.
