The China Coast Guard (CCG) said in a statement that it took control measures, in accordance with the law, against two Philippine vessels which illegally intruded in waters adjacent to China's Xianbin Jiao in the Nansha Qundao on Monday.
Without the permission of the Chinese government, Philippine vessels No. 4409 and No. 4411 dangerously approached a CCG ship that was navigating normally, inciting hype, the statement read.
