About 100 missions in 2024: How ambitious is China's space program?

On Monday, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation released its annual “blue book” revealing plans to launch about 100 space missions this year, which will set a new record for the country. Why are there so many space missions planned this year? What progress has China made in its aerospace industry?

In other news, public consultation will conclude this week over the legislation of Article 23 of the Basic Law of the Hong Kong SAR. What exactly is article 23? What does it mean for Hong Kong's future?
