Iran has vowed revenge for the assassination of Hamas’ top political leader who was in the Iranian capital Tehran to attend the inauguration of Iran’s new President. Though no country has claimed responsibility for the attack, both Hamas and Iran point to Israel. What more do we know about the strike and who could be responsible? How will this affect hostage negotiations between Israel and Hamas? And could this attack further inflame tensions and spark a regional Middle East war? Guests in this episode are Zhou Bo, senior fellow at the Center for International Security and Strategy at Tsinghua University; and Ali Akbar Dareini, researcher and writer at the Journal of the Center for Strategic Studies in Tehran.
